J. WARREN MURRY, M.D. Residency Faculty (Surgery), retired Dr. J. Warren Murry graduated from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Medicine in 1947 and completed his General Surgery Residency at UAMS in 1953. After many years of distinguished service as the first Board-Certified General Surgeon in Northwest Arkansas, Dr. Murry has recently retired from private practice and conducted for many years the outpatient surgery clinics with our residents one afternoon per week in each of our Family Medicine centers. Dr. Murry and his wife Doris live in
Fayetteville. One of their sons is a practicing anesthesiologist in
Fayetteville. Dr. Murry enjoys golf, and is a very active member of the
Rotary Club. Dr. Murry is a recipient of the Eagle Award, the highest
award given by the Washington Regional Medical Center Foundation for service.
He received the 2002 Faculty Teaching Award from the residents. |
