JAMES F. PATRICK, M.D. Residency Director (1975-1988) Dr. James Patrick was the first Residency Program Director at AHEC-NW when the program was established in 1975. Prior to that time he conducted a private practice in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Dr. Patrick grew up in Camden, Arkansas and attended Tulane for his medical school training. He performed his internship in San Francisco. During his career in Arkansas he served on the Arkansas Academy of Family Physicians Board of Directors and also won the state's Jaycee's Service award in 1963. He served as SAE Fraternity Chapter Advisor for several years as well. He and his wife Lil had 5 children. He retired to Aspen, Colorado. Now deceased, Dr. Patrick is fondly remembered for his productive professional career and his commitment to Family Medicine education. |
